Psychological portrait of patients with external genital endometriosis

External genital endometriosis is a disease whose symptoms have a negative impact on physical activity, labor and social activity, psycho-emotional state of patients, thereby impairing their quality of life. The purpose of this review is to assess the psycho-emotional state of patients with external genital endometriosis based on the analysis of modern scientific medical literature, both domestic and foreign. Psychological portrait of women with the external genital endometriosis is characterized by changes in the majority of the analyzed parameters. The presence of anxiety and depressive disorders can aggravate both the general somatic state, and the course of the underlying disease. Therefore, the rehabilitation of such patients should include activities aimed at improving quality of life.
