TREATMENT ADHERENCE IN PREGNANT WOMEN WITH DIABETES MELLITUS

Treatment adherence (compliance) is the extent to which a patient’s behavior matches the physician’s advice, medication intake, dietary recommendations, and other aspects of lifestyle modifications. According to the WHO experts, compliance with therapy can be regarded as an important indicator for the effectiveness of the health care system. This issue is especially important in treating pregnant women with diabetes mellitus.
