FEATURES OF THE COURSE AND OUTCOMES OF MULTIPLE ORGAN DYSFUNCTION SYNDROME IN NEWBORN INFANTS IN RELATION TO GESTATIONAL AGE AND BIRTH WEIGHT

The features of the course and outcomes of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome were investigated in newborn infants in relation to gestational age and birth weight. The frequency of a severe central nervous system lesion and the severity of bronchopulmonary dysplasia and retinopathy were found to increase with decreases in gestational age and birth weight.
