EFFECT OF THE COURSE AND MANAGEMENT OF ASTHMA IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF PREGNANCY AND DELIVERY COMPLICATIONS
Issue:

The high frequency of pregnancy and delivery complications is associated with persistent, not completely controlled asthma, especially in the first trimester of gestation. The use of inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) in combination with shortacting β2-agonists, as well as combined drugs (ICS and long-acting β2-agonists) improves the course of asthma during pregnancy and effects positively on pregnancy outcomes for both the mother and the fetus.
