Stress therapy as a tool for prolonging life

Prolonged stress leads to cell damage and faster aging in humans. Studies have shown that biologically the cells of people who were depressed or depressed for a long time were 10 years older than their actual age. This was reflected in shorter telomere lengths in the cell nuclei, and the shorter the telomeres, the older the cell. Therefore, therapies to restore and lengthen telomeres could be a stress treatment strategy.
