The possibility of enhancing the efficiency of early comprehensive rehabilitation in patients with poststroke aphasia

Aphasia is observed in more than one-third of patients with left hemisphere stroke; in 70% of cases, aphasia is concurrent with tongue muscle paresis, i.e. speech disorders have a complex pathogenetic origin, which requires a comprehensive approach to rehabilitation. The paper gives the results of an investigation of the clinical efficacy of Mildronate at a daily dose of 1000 mg in addition to the standard cycle of neurorehabilitation measures in patients with different degrees of poststroke aphasia.
