Частота осложненных форм гастроэзофагеальной рефлюксной болезни (ГЭРБ) у пожилых в 2,5 раза выше, чем у лиц зрелого возраста. Наибольшее значение возрастной фактор имеет для изъязвления слизистой оболочки дистального отдела пищевода. Комбинация ингибитора протонной помпы (ИПП) и альгината (препарат Гевискон®) является более патогенетически обоснованным лечением, чем монотерапия ИПП.
