Clinical and diagnostic markers for the severity of acute traumatic brain injury

During the clinical and diagnostic support of patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI), it is important to follow-up a patient’s condition for the timely detection of the progression of neurological symptoms. The analysis of the time course of changes in objective and subjective neurological symptoms and in the level of consciousness in the patient and the assessment of the data of additional study techniques (computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging, cerebrospinal fluid analysis, etc.) allow one to quickly respond to the patient’s condition changes and to timely adjust therapy.
