Staple-free and standard bariatric gastric bypass surgery: a clinical and economic analysis

The paper presents a clinical and economic analysis of the outcomes of staple-free band-divided and standard single-anastomotic bariatric gastric bypass surgery using endoscopic staplers. A cost minimization analysis has established that among the two compared methods having the same clinical efficiency, the staple-free procedure is much cheaper and accordingly more economical for practical application.
