The communicating skills and ability of a physician to obtain and hand over information are main conditions of successful treatment. The physician’s communicating skills govern not only a patient’s satisfaction with medical care quality and his emotional well-being, but also objective treatment results, such as the number of exacerbations of chronic diseases, the frequency of hospitalizations, and even the incidence of complications. Different styles of communication with patients are considered.
