The paper considers the pathogenesis of dyspeptic symptoms in patients who have undergone cholecystectomy, and, among other issues, specifies the role of small intestinal bacterial overgrowth. It is shown that Zacofalc may be the drug of choice in the combination therapy of patients with cholelithiasis after cholecystectomy. This therapy is aimed at relieving dyspeptic symptoms, the pathogenesis of which involves the impaired small and large intestinal microflora that occupies a prominent place.
