A SYSTEMIC INFLAMMATORY RESPONSE IN PATIENTS WITH TUBERCULOSIS AND HIV INFECTION

This analysis has shown that the magnitude of a systemic inflammatory response in patients with tuberculosis and HIV infection increases in parallel with the severity of immune deficiency. The levels of C-reactive protein and α1-antitrypsin were the most informative markers for the magnitude of a systemic inflammatory response.
