The analysis of variance test (ANOVA) analyzing the groups having discrete data was used to compare ovarian reserve parameters and to study their value in predicting the outcome of infertility treatment in 150 women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and thyroid disorder. The data analysis demonstrates a significant correlation between the volume of the ovary and the size of its ovarian reserve and no relationship between the level of basal follicle-stimulating hormone and the occurrence of pregnancy. The ovarian reserve is higher in PCOS concurrent with thyroid disease than in PCOS only. At the same time, the ovarian reserve in associated pathology is higher in patients with PCOS and hypothyroidism. A link was found between age, ovarian volume, number of antral follicles, and a positive outcome of treatment – the onset of pregnancy.
