Inclusion of asthmatic children in the treatment with ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) therapy resulted in better disease control in a shorter time than that in the treatment with only basic therapy. After UHF-therapy, there was a reduction in the relative and absolute levels of eosinophils and in the count of eosinophils bearing FcεRI+ and CD23+IgE+ receptors. The group of patients who received only basic treatment was found to have no statistically significant changes in the investigated immunological parameters.
