Anthropometric measurements were made in 580 first-year students; those who had abnormal weight gain or loss underwent bioimpedancometry. 14.48% of the students had abnormalities, such as underweight, overweight, or obesity. Underweight female students were found 6 times more often than underweight male students. Analysis of bioimpendancometric data indicated that the underweight students had the lowest values of active cell mass, total fluid, and basal metabolic rate.
