Infertility is an acute socioeconomic problem. Metabolic syndrome (MS) as comorbidity affects fertility; and polycystic ovary syndrome is today recognized as a MS-associated disease. Infertility concurrent with MS substantially worsens quality of life in patients and affects all aspects of their vital activity.
