The paper gives the results of studying the specific features of the clinical picture and the data of additional studies of mesenteric panniculitis (MPN) as one of the types of Weber-Christian panniculitis. It demonstrates that it is necessary to thoroughly examine patients with panniculitis in order to verify the diagnosis of MPN and emphasizes the significance of the examination for practitioners of various specialties.
