THE CLINICAL AND IMMUNOLOGICAL RATIONALE OF THE USE OF RONCOLEUKIN® (rIL2) IN THE THERAPY OF INFLAMMATORY DISEASES OF THE URINARY SYSTEM

Clinical and immunological examinations were made in 95 reproductive-aged women with inflammatory diseases of the urinary system, the etiological agents of which were Mycoplasma genitalium and herpes simplex virus 1 and 2. The found imbalance of clinical parameters and defects in innate adaptive immunity and levels of the cytokines interleukin (IL)-1, IL2, tumor necrosis factor, and interferon-γ in the cervical secretion was successfully corrected by incorporating Roncoleukin® 500,000 U diluted in 5.0 ml of saline and injected on a gynecological tampon for 2 hours every 10 days into a package of therapeutic measures during mainstay therapy.
