The paper discusses risk factors for myocardial infarction in young people. It considers the role of genetic factors, lipid metabolic disturbances, hypertension, psychosocial factors, and bad habits (smoking, alcohol abuse, lack of exercise, etc.) in creating a high risk for the development of myocardial infarction. It also underlines the importance of timely correction and modification of identified risk factors for the prevention of vascular diseases and their events.
