X-RAY SURGICAL METHODS FOR REVASCULARIZATION IN THE TREATMENT OF CRITICAL LOWER EXTREMITY ISCHEMIA

The paper assesses the results of surgical treatment in 25 patients operated on by X-ray surgical procedures for ulceronecrotic changes in the distal lower extremities in the presence of severe arterial ischemia. The minimal risk of infectious complications and the possibility of performing surgery in severely somatically ill patients are the major benefits of angioplasty and stenting in the presence of a purulent focus in the foot. An immediate postoperative positive result as resolved critical ischemia and a preserved foot could be obtained in 21 (84%) patients. In the late postoperative period of 6 months to 3 years, the results were traced in 19 (76%) patients; the limb preservation rate was 73.7%.
