The paper considers current views on the pathogenesis of diabetic polyneuropathy (DPN) and the role of complex metabolic agents in the treatment of this complication of diabetes mellitus. It gives the results of a clinical trial of the efficacy and safety of Cocarnit, which allow one to consider that it may be successfully used in the combination treatment of DPN.
