Рассматриваются предполагаемые механизмы этиологии и патогенеза такого распространенного кожного заболевания, как атопический дерматит (АтД), с точки зрения психосоматических теорий и моделей в современной медицине. Анализируются данные литературы, свидетельствующие об активном участии пептидергической и иммунной систем в формировании ключевых симптомов заболевания. Выявлена важная роль в патогенезе АтД системы моноаминергических нейротрансмиттеров (дофамина, норадреналина и серотонина), участвующих, помимо этого, в формировании и функционировании всех психических процессов (эмоций, мышления, восприятия и др.). Приводятся примеры успешного применения при АтД препаратов из групп нейролептиков, антидепрессантов, транквилизаторов.
