The prevention of cognitive impairment in the elderly embraces the modification of risk factors, the early detection and follow-up of cognitive dysfunctions, the implementation of a package of non-drug measures (diet, physical and social activities, intellectual exercises, continuing education, etc.) with the differentiation use of pharmacological agents.
